Having a current fishing license on a guided fishing trip is important for a few reasons. First off, it keeps you in line with local fishing rules, which helps protect the fish and the environment. Plus, it shows your guide that you respect the regulations, making your trip even better. And let’s be honest, you don’t want to deal with any fines or legal issues while you’re out there having fun! On our guided fishing trips, you have the freedom to bring any food and drink you desire, ensuring you stay refreshed throughout your adventure. There's no need to worry about packing a cooler, as we provide one on board to keep your items chilled and ready for enjoyment So, feel free to bring your favorite boat snacks and drinks, and get ready for a awesome day on the water!

When dressing for fishing on the water throughout the seasons, it’s important to consider the current weather conditions In spring and fall, opt for layered clothing, such as a moisture-wicking base layer a warm fleece, and a waterproof jacket for unexpected rain. During the summer, lightweight, breathable fabrics are ideal, along with a wide-brimmed hat and sunscreen to protect against the sun. winter, wear insulated layers, a waterproof outer shell, and thermal accessories like gloves and a beanie to keep warm while fishing. Always check the weather forecast before heading out to ensure you’re prepared for any changes.

Some things to keep in mind. At Big Rock Fishing Charters will provide all the gear/bait necessary for our trips. If you book a small mouth trip and feel more comfortable using your own gear you are welcome to do so. When Catfishing we ask not to bring any rods.

Night trip you are encouraged to bring a head lamp for low visibility conditions.
